Loyalty points: earn and redeem

Loyalty points

Also known as: fidelización, puntos, rewards, programa de fidelización, loyalty programme.

brasio's loyalty programme rewards customers with points earned automatically when a ticket closes, and lets them spend the points off a future ticket. Points only accrue when a ticket has a customer attached and that customer has given loyalty consent (separated GDPR opt-in).

Configure the programme (admin)

  1. On the till, sign in as owner.
  2. Go to Admin → Fidelización.
  3. Tick Programa de fidelización activo to turn it on.
  4. Set:
    • Centésimas de punto por cada 1€ gastado — e.g. 100 = 1 pt per €1. So 250 = 2.5 pts per €1.
    • Saldo máximo — cap a customer's running balance.
    • Saldo mínimo para canjear — the minimum points threshold a customer must hit before they can redeem.
    • Valor por punto — how many cents one point is worth at redemption.
  5. Save.

The preview line shows X puntos por cada 1€ gastado so you can sanity-check the maths.

Existing points balances are preserved if you turn the programme off — you can reactivate at any time without losing customer balances.

Customer loyalty consent (GDPR)

Loyalty enrolment is a separate affirmative opt-in under LOPDGDD/GDPR. On the customer profile under Consentimientos RGPD → Puntos de fidelización, the customer's choice is recorded with a timestamp.

Without that consent, even if a customer is attached to a ticket, no points are earned and nothing is redeemed. The till shows sin consentimiento de fidelización next to the customer name as a reminder.

Earn at ticket close

When a server closes a ticket:

  • If a customer is attached and has loyalty consent → points are credited per the rate.
  • Otherwise → no points.

The customer's running balance updates on the customer profile. It also shows on the Cuentas (tabs) list as a {count} puntos badge.

Redeem at payment

  1. On the payment screen, tap Puntos as the payment method.
  2. The Canjear puntos modal opens — Para {customer name}.
  3. The modal shows:
    • Saldo actual — current points balance.
    • Aplicando — the amount being applied as the server types.
    • Quick buttons: 1 pt, Todos, Cubrir cuenta.
  4. Enter the points to redeem (between the minimum threshold and the maximum).
  5. Tap Canjear {points} pts · {amount}.

Points only convert to ticket value at the Valor por punto rate you configured. Partial redemption is fine — the rest of the ticket can be cash or card.

The points payment method is disabled if the customer has no loyalty consent or hasn't reached the minimum threshold (the modal explains which).

Manual adjustments

On the customer profile, owners and managers can adjust a customer's points up or down (with a required reason) — for goodwill, error correction or a marketing promo. The adjustment is hash-chained into the audit log; it cannot be deleted, only further adjusted.

Not working?

  • Customer earned nothing on the last ticket: check the customer profile — does Puntos de fidelización show consent? Was the customer attached to the ticket before closing?
  • Canjear puntos is greyed out: balance is below Saldo mínimo para canjear, or no consent. The disabled hint explains which.
  • Points balance reset to zero: balances aren't reset automatically. A pseudonymisation (right-to-deletion) preserves the balance and the fiscal history, but identifying fields are wiped — check the audit log on the profile.
  • I want to import existing loyalty balances: talk to us — there's no bulk import UI today; we can run a one-off migration.
