Misc items (one-off prices)

Also known as: varios, miscellaneous, open item, open price, custom price, one-off charge, corkage / descorche.

Sometimes you need to charge for something that isn't in your catalog — a one-off platter, corkage, a sundry. The Misc button lets you add a line with a description and a price you type in, without having to create a product.

Adding a misc item

  1. On the till, next to the product search, tap the Misc button.
  2. Type a short description (this is what prints on the receipt — e.g. "Corkage", "Special platter").
  3. Enter the amount in € the customer pays.
  4. Optionally tick Send to kitchen if it's food the kitchen needs to prepare.
  5. Add it to the tab.

It's charged at the standard hospitality IVA (10%) and appears on the bill and the fiscal record with the description you typed.

Sending a misc item to the kitchen

By default a misc item stays at the till and does not print in the kitchen — most misc charges (corkage, a sundry) aren't food. Tick Send to kitchen in the modal when it is something the kitchen should make; it then prints on the kitchen ticket and shows on the kitchen display under "Others".

A discount on a misc item

You can discount a misc line just like any other — tap the line, choose Discount, pick % or €.

Not working?

  • I can't find the Misc button: it sits next to the product search box on the till, not in the product grid (a misc item isn't a catalog product).
  • "Misc line needs a description and amount": both the description and a price above zero are required — fill them in on the modal before adding.
  • The Misc item shows in search but errors when tapped: add misc items only with the Misc button (which opens the price box), not by tapping a product result.
